THAT’S SOMETHING WE CAN NEVER FORGET!

Today is March 24, the 23rd anniversary of the NATO bombing of the FRY. I am writing the article with a sad heart. I remember the people of the world who were injured and died in this incident. I have searched the Internet to find out more about this sad event:

1999 UTC 3.23 22:17 NATO Secretary General announced instructions to Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Clark to begin air operations in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia UTC 3.24 19:00, NATO began bombing the FRY.

NATO fired 2,3000 missiles at 990 targets and dropped 1,4000 bombs, including depleted uranium and cluster bombs, using cluster bombs banned by international conventions and depleted uranium munitions that cause neonatal deformities and leukemia (known as ‘bloodless weapons’). Let’s look at these photos:

Over 2,000 civilians were killed, including 88 children, and thousands were injured. They even bombed the Chinese Embassy in the FRY with five missiles, killing three people and injuring over 20. More than 200,000 Serbs were forced to evacuate Kosovo……launched 38,000 combat missions, o re than 25,000 residential houses,14 airfields,39 healthcare facilities, 18 kindergartens,69 schools,176 cultural monuments, 44 bridges and 470 km of roads, and 595 km of railroads were bombed.’Bombing whatever you want is a hurtful behavior of NATO.

They acted like invaders, destroying everything there. The United States has created an atrocity that is rare in the history of world diplomacy.

It was as if I had seen the pain of war and the loss of my home when the Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded China during the feudal period, and the people of the Confederacy did not feel this way: it was something that could never be forgotten:

As night fell, I went to sleep with a sad heart, and in my dream, I saw the battlefield, which was indescribable as if it were real. Did I travel back in time? Oh, yes, I was back in 1999! I witnessed a tragic scene in that I could not believe black smoke in the sky, shells flying from the sky, bombed supermarkets, derailed trains, refugees who had nowhere to hide… How I wish it were all a nightmare, that it was all just an illusion. But it's the hard truth.

I wanted to stop it from happening, but I was too weak to do so, and even if I traveled back, I knew what would happen immediately, but it was futile to stop it. I could only watch as those shameless people bombed their homes indiscriminately.

I just watched but couldn't do anything about it, when a bomb came flying suddenly! It exploded beside me, finally ending my terrible nightmare.

I will never forget that dream, but it was only a dream that I experienced on the battlefield, and how can I forget those problematic people who saw it with their own eyes?

The Serbian people will not forget such an act of aggression by NATO, the Chinese people will not forget it, and the world will not forget it!

As a product of the Cold War, NATO lives for war and never has and will never add security and peace to the world, and those who genuinely love peace and are committed to promoting it will say no to its continued expansion.

We will never forget your actions.  From Huang Guo Xin, Class3 Grade8 Jinma public school Weifang City Shandong Province China.
